Chairmein Walter opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no objections or corrections to the minutes of the March meeting, declared same approved as mailed. The follcwing applications for variance were considered: Harry J. Jackim, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to build garage on Lot 37, of Nedberg^I^e Survey Lots, Section 1, Edna Township, 2' from property line. Appli­ cation was withdrawn by Mr. Jackim. Jacob G. Perola, New York Mills, MN, requested permission to split off a 50' lot from the southernmost end of a 350' lakeshore kncxvn as Leaf Lake Pleasure Grounds in Leaf Lake Township, leaving balance of 300' for a possible split into two 150' parcels. After listening to the various interested parties, motion was made by Craig Anderson to grant variance allowing split of 50' lot. The motion was seconded by John Everts. After discussion motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and unanimously carried, to table. Ronald Leonard Pihlstrom, Frazee, requested permission to replace exx^cing 18' X 22' garage with a 28' x 36' garage, 5' from lot line, on Pt. of G.L. 5, Section 6, Gorman Township. Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Roger Marty and unanimously carried, to table. Gilbert Busta Bernard Maczkowicz, Lidgerwood, ND, request to replace one old existing shed with each a new shed on lots 4 & 5, Sunberg Point Add'n, Maine Township, was withdrawn. Donald Johnson, Pelican Rapids, MN, request to allow a metal building to remain 20' from road ri^t-of-way, and tabled request from two previous meetings for division of prcperty into five lots, were both withdrawn, property located in Section 26, Scairbler Township. SCANNED ( Board of Adjustment - 3 -May'2, 1985 Havery J. Nicholson, Fargo, ND, requested pentassion to cxanstruct a 10' x 24* boat house on Lot 49, Block 3, Crystal Hills, Lida Township, 20' fron shoreline. After consideration, motion vas made Craig Anderson to grant approval, hardship being topography of land, boathoiases are as inportant to giard boats as garages aire to protect cars, approved with the stipulation no closer to lake than 20', to be built of a color to camouflage existence, not setting a precedence with other similar boat­ houses in the area. The motion was seconded by Roger Marty and carried with June I^an voting "no". Jacob G. Perola, tabled from the April 4th meeting, was again tabled upon motion made by John Everts, seconded by Roger Marty and carried. Itonald L. Pihlstrom, tabled fron the ;^ril 4th meeting, was again tabled vpon motion nade by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and carried. Harvey H. and Charleen Greuel and Larry j, & Colleen Buhr appeared before the Board on a pre-c^>plication hearing. No action. With no further business. Chairman Walter adjourned the neeting at 9:55 p.m.. OW Board of Mjustjnent - 4 - F. E. Lundberg, Fargo, ND, requested permission to construc± a screened porch onto existing cabin 47' frcan lake on Lot 10, Res "F" of Haggstrctn's Beach, Maine Township. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts to allow the application of the to"string test", to build i^/but ndit ahead of a line drawn between the neigi±)or's dwellings on either side. Uie motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried. Motion was then made by Roger Marty, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to grant a side lot variance on the east side to cone forward frctn existing cabin. Gary Spies, Fergus Falls, Mi, requested permission to construct cabin 70' fran lake on parcel called Lot 2, located in G.L, 1, Section 34, Girard Township. After consider­ ation, motion was made by Roger Marty, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to deny, no adquate hardship shown. Arnold & Verlie Barnhart, Rochert, MN, tabled fron the May meeting was denied i:pon motion made by Roger Marty, seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and unanimously carried, accb G. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Roger Marty and unanimously carried, to grant approval, substandard lot of record. With no further business.
