After discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 6’ from the required lot line setback of 10’ for -the location of a holding tank 4’ from the lot line. John Kimple - Tabled John Kimple, Dent, MN, requested a variance of 160’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ and a variance of 60’ from the required shore impact zone setback of 100’ for the addition of a deck to an existing cabin 40’ from the ordinary high water level. The deck will be 40’ from the lake. The property is described as a 7.8-acre tract in Government Lot 4, Section 8 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. The applicant was not in attendance at the public hearing. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to table the applicant’s request until the October 2, 1997 meeting. It was noted that a discussion on-site seemed to indicate a desire on behalf of the applicant to withdraw his application. As of the date of the scheduled hearing no formal communication to withdraw had been received by the office. The variance request was tabled to allow the office an opportunity to contact the applicant and to determine the status of this application. The chute was constructed within 10’ of the old one. I was told this falls within the set back adjacent to the County right of way.
