Primers Fergus Falls, Minnesota MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT November 13, 1997 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, November 13, 1997, with the following persons in attendance; Craig Anderson John Everts Cecil Femling Randall Mann Robert Schwartz George Walter Wayne Roisum, Land and Resource Management Wally Senyk, County Attorney Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman George Walter. Minutes Approved - Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the November 6,1997, meeting were approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard: Harold Cordes, Et. Al. • Approved Harold Cordes, Et. Al., Henning, MN, requested a variance of 8’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ and a variance of 6’ from the required lot line (road right-of-way) setback of 10’ for the installation of a holding tank 2’ from the side lot line and 4’ from the back lot line (road right-of-way). The property is described as Lot 6, Block 2, Leaf Lake Pleasure Grounds, West Leaf Lake in Leaf Lake Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 8’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ and a variance of 6’ from the required back lot line (road right-of-way) setback of 10’ for the installation of a holding tank 2’ from the side lot line and 4’ from the back lot line (road right-of-way). Hardship is a substandard lot of record. It was noted that this is the best and only location for the installation of a holding tank on this very substandard lot. System design must be to scale and must include the proposed location of the sewage system, all existing/proposed buildings, property lines, the ordinary high water level of the water body and all water wells within 150' of the sewage system.
