Motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried to approve a variance of 25’
from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 30’ by 50’ dwelling located 75’ from
the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the granting of this variance will not establish a precedence for this
immediate area and that there are properties to the west of the applicant’s property that have structures closer to the
ordinary high water level than what is being proposed by the applicant. It was also noted that placing the structure in
this location would not obstruct the vision of the adjacent properties. Hardship is a very substandard lot of record with
a very limited amount of depth.
