Dear Kurt,
Thank you for meeting onsite with Bill Kalar and myself at the above property on May 13,
2011. As we discussed, the following findings will be the restoration plan for the property.
Your Conditional Use Permit requires the following:
1. Recreate the swale (to a 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 slope) on the lakeside of the cabin to allow
for storm water retention. The removed fill - up to 24” deep - can be brought up hill
toward the canal to fill and level that area. Area must be re-vegtated.(Green
highlighted area on your map.)
2. Rake and cover with 3 to 4 inches of topsoil the area to the lake that had been
back-dragged. Area must be re-vegetated. (Yellow highlighted area on your map.)
3. Finish the retaining walls on the cabin and backfill as needed. (Pink highlighted
area on your map.)
4. Remove approximately one half of the sand beach, up to 9” deep. Remove from
the canal side and re-vegetate. Sand may be placed on the other side of the dock,
for float plane access. (Blue highlighted area on your map.)
The deadline for completion of the project is September 1,2011. Upon completion of all of
the requirements of the CUP, please contact me and I will inspect the site once again.

On November 17, 2010 the Planning Commission passed a motion to recommend approval of your
request. Their motion is ,as follows:
A motion by Trites, second by Wilson, to approve provided: 1. Restoration of the lake access to
its original condition. 2. Restoration (to its initial state) of the depression on the east side of the
lot so it can hold water from both lots. 3. Stabilization of the side slopes on the walk-out. 4. The
Applicant must meet onsite with land & Resource prior to any additional earthmoving, and also

On November 30, 2010 the County Board of Corhmissioners passed a motion to approve the
request as recommended by the Planning Commission.
As you can see, there-are conditions included in this motion. You should contact Bill Kalar
(Administrator) to schedule the required onsite meeting (condition #4). Once all the conditions are
met, our Office will process your Conditional Use Permit.

their next packet.

Dear Mr. Leaders and Trustees,
On August 5, 2011, I stopped by the above mentioned property to see what progress has
been made to the work required by your After-The-Fact Conditional Use Permit #6621.
I noticed that none of the required earth work had been completed, or even started.
Please be advised, the expiration date of the ATF CUP is September 1, 2011. All of the
requirements listed in the letter dated May 19, 2011 must be complete and the areas must
be revegetated by September 1, 2011.
Your property remains under violation at this time.
Please contact our office when the work has been complete.
