The property is described as part of Government Lot 5, Section 17 of Leaf Lake Township by West Leaf Lake. Jeff Sagerhorn represented the applicants at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Joe Maske and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 50’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a structure 50’ from the ordinary high water level and at least 10’ from the lot line. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 9’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the placement of a 12’ by 12’ shed 66’ from the ordinary high water level and at least 10’ from the drain field. It was noted that the new shed will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the original shed, which was destroyed. The proposed location of the shed will not impact any adjacent properties. Hardship is the terrain of the applicants' property. Victor O and Jennifer Haugrud - Approved with condition. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, second by Steve Schierer and carried with Cecil Femling and Mark Steuart voting no, to approve a variance of 77’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100', a variance of 27’ from the required shore impact zone setback of 50’ and a variance of 3' from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the construction of a 24’ by 36’ garage addition 7' from the side lot line and 23' from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 46’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for a 16’ by 22’ kitchen dining addition 54’ from the ordinary high water level of the man made inlet with the condition that before a site permit can be issued the existing garage and foundation must be removed. It was noted that the proposed garage addition would have the same height as the present dwelling. It was also noted that the proposed width of the garage is a reasonable request. It addition, it was noted that many of the properties within this immediate area are within the shore impact zone.
