Chairman Nordgren declared the meeting open at 1:00 p.m Stan Wieber, Executive Director of the Fergus Falls Chanter of 0cm- ' nerce, together with Marion Kirschner and Oscau: Sorlie, appeared be- for the Board promoting econcmic develcpment in Otter Tail County and the involvement by the Business Assistance Center (BAC), reques­ ting an appropriation of $20,000 for the BAC, including the balance of allowable appropriation for 1985. After consideration, motion was made by Mel Olson, seconded by Anc^ Lindquist csnd carried with Sydney Nelson voting "no", to appropriate funding forothe year 1986 in the amount of $14,000.00 Motion was ma(te by Bert Hovland, seconded by Mel 0. Olson and unani­ mously carried, to approve an extension of one year for the coroletion of the plat of Lakewood Point, to be located in Section 2-137-42. Motion was made by Mel 0. Olson, seconded by Anc^ Lindquist and unani­ mously carried, to approve the minutes of the meeting of September 25th. Motion was made by Andi' Lindquist, seconded by Bert Hovland and unani­ mously carried, to ^prove an application of Bill Walker, Wahpeton, ND, for sewage disposal installers license. Also discussed were costs for mile for hauling with q\x)tations to be received. Solid Waste Don Kenyon, East Otter Tail Soil & Water Conservation District, appeared before the Board with a request of funds for the year 1985. ^5Dtion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Bert Hovland and unanimously carried, to appropriate the sum of $32,500.00 for the East Otter Tail Soil & Water Conservation District as requested. 2.0. Soil & Water Cons. District Dave Jdinson, Veterans Service office, appeared before the Board and informed the Board he would accept the position of Otter Tail County Veterans Service Officer, at a salary set at 80% of the former officer's salary with a 5% increase after the six month probationary period. feterans Service Officer Motion was made by Njel O.
