Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to grant a variance of
19' from the required County Road #72 right-of-way setback of 20’ and a variance of 15’ from the required Old County
Road #1 right-of-way setback of 20’ for the construction of a 52’ by 34’ cement pad with a 42’ by 24’ canopy being
approximately 1’ from the County Road #72 right-of-way and being approximately 5’ from the Old County Road #1
right-of-way with the following conditions as stated in the County Engineer’s letter;
1. the approaches to the pump island must be located as far North and West of the County Road #72/Old County
Road #1 intersection as possible, and
2. the construction of the pump island must not obstmcted the drainage from the county road system.
It was noted that that the applicants’ proposal has been inspected by the Otter Tail County Highway Engineer and his
recommendations/suggestions were received favorably by the applicants.
