Steve and Mary Robar - Conditionally Denied. (8:00 p.m.) Steve and Mary Robar, Lot 5 Bush Hill Country Bay, East Battle Lake in Nidaros Township, requested the following: Proposing to place a second story on the existing dwelling being 35’ from the ordinary high water level. Requesting a 65’ variance. Required setback is 100’. Also proposing to have the lot declared buildable for single family residential use. The lot was created November 14, 1972 and only has 30,000 square feet of area and it is required to have 40,000 square feet. The audience was not polled as neither the applicants or anyone from the public was in attendance for this public hearing. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by David Wass and unanimously carried, to deny the variance application for failure of the applicants to attend the public hearing unless the secretary of board can obtain from the applicants within a reasonable time (two weeks) a letter granting the Board of Adjustment authority to table their request until the next scheduled meeting of the Board of Adjustment in which case the application will be considered tabled.
