Brian Alberts, part of Government Lot 4, Section 27 of Rush Lake Township by Round Lake, requested the
following: Divide and sell part of one parcel to 3 adjacent property owners while retaining the homestead
within 1000’ of Round Lake. Will survey and have land permanently attached to parcels and for parcel with
house to be buildable parcel. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as
requested. After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Ward Uggerud and
unanimously carried, to approve the proposed subdivision as described in the variance application dated
October 11, 2015 and as depicted on the drawings submitted with the variance application with the
condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be submitted at the time of conveyance. The variance
as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed development.

Tyler Currie, East Half of Lot 35 and all of Lot 36, Eldorado Beach, Otter Tail Lake in Amor Township,
requested the following: Proposing to replace the existing dwelling being 50’ from the ordinary high water
level, being no closer than the existing dwelling requesting a 25’ variance, 75’ setback required. Also
proposing to add 14’ by 16’ deck, being 50’ from ordinary high water level, requesting 25’ variance, 75’
setback required. Reuse existing foundation for new house. Lindy Currie and Darold Woessner, Contractor
attended the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as
requested. After consideration and discussion, Thomas Lee made a motion, second by Paul Larson and
unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 25’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’
for the placement of a dwelling and for the addition of a deck as described in the variance application dated
October 22, 2015 and as depicted on the drawing submitted with the variance application 50’ from the

Steve and Mary Robar - Conditionally Denied. (8:00 p.m.)
Steve and Mary Robar, Lot 5 Bush Hill Country Bay, East Battle Lake in Nidaros Township, requested the
following: Proposing to place a second story on the existing dwelling being 35’ from the ordinary high
water level. Requesting a 65’ variance. Required setback is 100’. Also proposing to have the lot declared
buildable for single family residential use. The lot was created November 14, 1972 and only has 30,000
square feet of area and it is required to have 40,000 square feet. The audience was not polled as neither the
applicants or anyone from the public was in attendance for this public hearing. After consideration and
discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by David Wass and unanimously carried, to deny the
variance application for failure of the applicants to attend the public hearing unless the secretary of board
can obtain from the applicants within a reasonable time (two weeks) a letter granting the Board of
Adjustment authority to table their request until the next scheduled meeting of the Board of Adjustment in
which case the application will be considered tabled.
David Geiszler and Denise Lakeman - Variance application approved as requested. (7:45 p.m.)
David Geiszler and Denise Lakeman, Lot 8 Nebraska Beach, Wimer Lake in Hobart Township, requested
the following: Build 204 square foot deck, six steps and landing 24 square foot. Requesting a 30’ variance
from top of bluff for a 0’ setback. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance
as requested. It was noted that a significant amount of material had been submitted by Vivian Anderson just
prior to tonight’s meeting for consideration by the members of the Board of Adjustment.
