Explain your request: ^ want to divide my large lot on Walker lake into two equal
lots so tnat a cabin can be erected on each lot overlooking the lake.
Because of the large size of each lot, I do not feel that my request is
unreasonable.
I should also like to point out that the proposed building sigh-^ for each cabin is approximatly 4l feet above the lake level.
For these reasons*
1. the height of the lot
2. the depth of the lot
3. the over-all acreage in the proposed division, I petition
that this proposal be granted.
If there is anything further that you think I should do in
regard to my request, please let me know.
In order to properly evaluate the situation, please provide as much supplementary information as possible, such as: maps, plans,
information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICIANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County.
I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variances and/or permits are required
by the township for my proposed project.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THEOTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
October 6, 1988
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday evening,
October 6, 1988 with the following present;
George Walter
Carl Johnson
David Trites
John Everts
Dan Oehler
Craig Anderson

CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Walter declared the meeting open at 7:00 p.m., and hearing
no changes or corrections of the September meeting, declared same
approved as mailed.
The following requests for variance were considered:
Donna Tverberg , Pipestone, MN, requested permission to divide a
4.64 acre parcel into two equal size lots with 110' of shoreline,
out of G.L. 2, Section 13, Amor Township on Walker Lake. After
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to deny, to allow
would be establishing a precedence in the reduction of the minimum
lakeshore as required in the ordinance. The motion was seconded by
John Everts and carried unanimously.
Michael J. Muston, Coon Rapids, MN, requested permission to sell a
portion of Lot 1, Lazy Acres, Marion Lake in Rush Lake Township,
to the owner of Lot 10 Art's North Shore, for the purpose of making
Lot 10 larger. After consideration, motion was made by Cnaig Ander
son, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table.
David H. Hansen, Clarissa, MN, requested permission to allow a screen
house, as remodeled and upgraded, on Lot 25, Fair Oaks, West Battle
Lake in Girard Township. After consideration, motion was made by
John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship shown, to allow would es
tablish a precedence as there are no similar buildings so located
in the area, allowing until June 1, 1989 to be removed. The motion
was seconded by David Trites and carried unanimously.
Donald W. Oscarson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to con
struct a 12' X 22' (an additional 2' from the original application)
at the 4' set back as the original building, on Lot 15, Haggstrom's
Subdivision of Reserve E S F, cn Pickeral Lake in Maine Township.
After consideration, motion was made by Daniel Oehler to grant
variance for proposed addition, on set back already established,
hardship being a substandard lot of record, and being able to
enjoy the same rights and privileges as the neighbors enjoy. The
motion was seconded by JOhn Everts and carried.
