Omer M. Germundson - Approved as requested. (6:30 p.m.)
After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Michael Conlon and unanimously
carried, to declare Lot 2 Ackerson Subdivision, a substandard back lot, buildable for residential development. The
Board noted that the granting of the variance as requested will provide the applicant with an ability to enjoy the same
rights and privileges as others in this immediate area and approving the variance as requested is consistent with past
actions of the Board of Adjustment.

OF THE
OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
Thursday, September 2, 2004
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, September 2, 2004, with the following persons in
attendance:

Called to Order - Randall Mann Chairman, called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at
6:30 p.m.
Minutes Approved -
The membership of the Board of Adjustment approved the minutes of the August 12, 2004-meeting as
mailed.
The Board of Adjustment considered the fo lowing applications for variance:
Omer M. Germundson- Approved as requested. (6:30 p.m.)
Omer M. Germundson, Lot 2 Ackerson Subdivision, Ten Mile Lake in Tumuli Township, requested a
variance to have a substandard back lot declared buildable. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with
no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Steve
Schierer made a motion, seconded by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to declare Lot 2 Ackerson
Subdivision, a substandard back lot, buildable for residential development. The Board noted that the
granting of the variance as requested will provide the applicant with an ability to enjoy the same rights and
privileges as others in this immediate area and approving the variance as requested is consistent with past
actions of the Board of Adjustment.
Scott Boll - Approved as requested. (6:37 p.m.)
Scott Boll, part of Lot 60 and all of Lot 61, Pleasure Park Beach, Otter Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township,
requested a variance of 17 to 19’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the
placement of a structure 56 to 58’ from the ordinary high vyater level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the
audience with no one.speaking for or against the variance as requested; Letters form Maribeth Bokinskie,
Leona Nelson and August Nelson in support of the variance as requested were read for the record. After
discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to approve a variance of 17 to 19’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the
placement of a structure 56 to 58’ from the ordirjiary high water level as depicted on the drawing submitted
with the applicant’s variance application. The proposed development is an improvement and the proposed
development will be behind the existing building line.
Steven and Judy Rokes - Approved as requested. (6:42 p.m.)
Steven and Judy Rokes, Lot 3 Block 1, Cla-Mar Addition, Clitherall Lake in Clitherall Township, requested a
variance to have a substandard lot declared a buildable lot. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with
no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson
made a motion, seconded by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to declare Lot 3 Block 1, Cla-Mar
Addition, a substandard lot, buildable for residential development. The Board noted the existing home site
on this property as a reason for declaring this lot a buildable lot. The variance as approved will provide the
applicant with an ability to enjoy the same rights and privileges as others in this immediate area.
