Minnesota f , Board of Adjustment 2 March 3, 1983 LeRoy Schmidt, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to record a document transfer­ ring 3.75 acre without the benefit of a land survey, property located in the NE'j of Section 29, Carlisle Township.Attorney Oscar Sorlie represented the Schmidts. After considerable discussion, motion was made by Tom Stringer, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried, to grant approval, face of the document clearly indicates execution prior to enactment of the ordinance, delay in recording due to client's instructions to hold pending estate planning, also the fact the parcel lies clearly in the corner of the section which is better than some other part of section. Darrel Leitch, Richville, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' x 36' garage three feet from adjoining property line, on Pt. of G.L. 3, Section 12, Maine Town­ ship. Motion was made by Frank Lachowitzer to grant approval at a five foot set­ back rather than the three requested, hardship being no other place on lot to place garage for if trailer were to be moved off lot, it would be impossible with­ out tearing either the trailer or garage apart. Donald Pikop, Elbow Lake, MN, requested permission to construct a 14 closed'porch on lake side of house, 81 feet from ordinary high water mark, listening to the various interested parties, motion was made by John Everts to X 16' en- AFter allow an enclosed porch no closer to the lake than a point when stretching a string between the neighbors on either side, restricting to no larger than 14' towards lake. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried. With no further business, at 8:25 p.m., motion was made by Tom Stringer to adjourn The motion was seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried.the meeting.
