Motion William Goetzinger and Ruth Goetzinger Lange - Denied. Motion was made by Randall Mann, second by David Holmgren to approve the variance as requested noting that the variance as requested will provide environmental protection, wildlife preservation and natural habitat protection. Noting as the hardship the terrain features of the property. This motion failed with Rod Boyer, Cecil Femling, Steve Schierer and Mark Steuart voting no. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the creation of a substandard lot on an existing 326 acre parcel. Concern was also expressed that the proposed access to the proposed parcel was not an adequate access for emergency service vehicles. Minnesota . * November 1, 2001 VARIANCE REQUEST William and Nancy (Goetzinger) Henke wish to apply to the Ottertail County Board of Adjustment, for a variance exception to the Meets and Bounds description for shoreline zones requiring a five acre site, on which we would like to build a hunting cabin/possible storage garage. The variance request is being made because the landowners, William M. Goetzinger and Ruth Goetzinger Lange wish to deed over to us a two hundred foot by three hundred foot parcel wily, rather than a five acre site from their encompassing farm of approximately three hundred-fifty acres, in Section 33, Township 131, Range 042 in Tumuli Township, on the south shore of Ten Mile Lake in Ottertail County. The other key aspect of our variance request revolves around our desire to not improve the private woodland road that would provide easement access to the proposed parcel. It is also our desire to place in as inobtrusive a fashion as possible, a permanent but seasonal summer/hunting log cabin and similarly designed garage. In addition to leaving the grassy woodland access as is, we also have no desire to alter the shoreline/trees, surrounding woods, nor support any further development of the surrounding acreage. We respect the fairly pristine nature of the surrounding woodland and farm and wish to coexist with as minimal encroachment as possible. Nancy Goetzinger Henke William C.
