After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 48’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the development as described in the
variance application and other supporting documentation dated August 28, 2011. The variance as approved does not directly or
indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed development.

Re: Distance to Drain Field
Dear Amy:
As we discussed today, Keith Selnor of Ten Mile Construction pointed out to me that the distance from
the garage to the edge of the drain field will be 14 feet, rather than the required 20 feet. You asked that
I provide you with a letter for the file documenting the distance to the drain field and to bring it to the
attention of the Board of Adjustment during the hearing on October 6, 2011, which I will do, to ensure
this is reflected in the variance request.

Roadside looking at location of the addition. The actual addition and new garage will be constructed behind the property building line. Note
the nip roof which requires modifying the structure in front of the building line to tie the addition and existing roof together.
Another roadside view looking toward the lake at the location of the proposed addition. Because the additional is being added to the
roadside portion of the cabin and with the loss of the 3-season porch square footage, the proposed garage will be ~ 14 feet from the
drain field (outside of the picture to the left). This could be avoided if the 3-season porch was re-built and remained.

Lakeside existing 12-foot x 12-foot 3-season porch to be removed. The original plan was to rebuild this porch. Instead, the new addition and
garage are being added on the road side, but this pushes the entire addition back to within 14-feet of the drainfield.

40 to 45-feet of the Ordinary High Water.

This is the hip roof that will be replaced with a gable roof on the side opposite from the proposed addition and is part of the variance request.
