Printers • Fergus Falls. Minnesota / September 10,1998 Page 5 Timothy P. Hilbert - Denied Timothy P. Hilbert, Battle Lake, MN, “requested 8" variance from the required 2 foot vertical water table separation for the construction of a mound drain system.” The property is described as part of Reserve Lot G, Dursch’s Silver Bay, Silver Lake in Everts Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by George Walter to approve an 8” variance from the required 2’ vertical water table separation for the construction of a mound drain system 1 ’ 4” above the water table noting that the State of Minnesota’s requires only a 1’ separation and noting that a mound system had been recommended by a licensed installer. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. This motion failed with Cecil Femling, Randall Mann, David Holmgren, Frank Lachowitzer and George Walter voting no. After addition discussion and consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that an alternative does exist. Hebert L. and Jane S. Sorbel - Denied Hebert L. and Jane S. Sorbel, Dalton, MN, requested a variance “to increase size of a portion of deck to include one part to be increased to 12X14 so a3 - season porch could be built. This portion would be very close to lift pump. Would move & improve lift station if necessary.” The drawing would indicate that the proposed 12’ by 14’ structure is 48’ from the lake and that it would cover in part the lift station. The required ordinary high water level setback is 150’ and the required structure setback from a lift station is 10’. The present deck is 6’ wide by 54’ 9” long and is in need of repair. The property is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 28 of Tumuli Township by Ten Mile Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny the 12’ by 14’ increase in the existing deck noting that the existing deck can be repaired and noting that the granting of the proposed 12’ by 14’ three season porch would advance the structure toward the ordinary high water level. /GRID PLOT PLAN feet SKETCHING FORMScale: __£j:^gricl(s) equals feet, or inch(es) equals Dated:. 19 Signature Please sketch your lot indicating setbacks from road right-of-way, lake, sideyard and septic tank and drain- field for each building currently on lot and any proposed structures.
