Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 6’
from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to an existing dwelling 69’ from the ordinary
high water level with the condition that before a building permit can be issued for the proposed addition either a
standard sized metes and bounds parcel or an approved platted parcel must be created to eliminate the possibility of
two dwelling on a single parcel and with the condition that the proposed addition must be constructed to the rear of the
existing structure. It should be noted that the proposed addition would be approximately 69’ from the ordinary high
water level.

September 10,1998
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, September 10, 1998, with the following
persons in attendance:
John Everts
Cecil Femling
David Holmgren
Frank Lachowitzer
Randall Mann
George Walter
Kyle Westergard, Land and Resource Management
Curt Mortenson, Assistant County Attorney
Call to Order - Chairman George Walter called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Minutes Approved -
Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the September 3, 1998, meeting was approved as
mailed.

The following variance requests were heard:
Georgia S. Bartlett - Approved
.• jGeorgia S. Bartlett, Dalton, MN, requested a variance of 6’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 75’ for an addition to an existing dwelling 69’ from the ordinary high water level. The
property is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 28 of Tumuli Township by Ten Mile Lake.
The applicant’s contractor represented the applicant at the public hearing: The audience was polled i
with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 6*from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to an existing dwelling 69’ from the ordinary high
water level with the condition that before a building permit can be issued for the proposed addition
