Motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 19’
from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for an addition, as depicted on the submitted drawing, to a
dwelling 8T from the ordinary high water level with the condition that the proposed addition must meet the string line
test. The string line test is to be applied from the front corner of the applicant’s house to the neighbor’s house to the
North. Hardship is the terrain of the applicants’ property.

Project Notes
I am requesting a variance from the 100' setback regulation. The proposed
addition to my home will come 81' 0" from the determined high water mark. Bill
Kalar and I met at the site and determined the actual high water mark. However,
on my drawing it does not scale out, but the 81'0" measurement is accurate. I
need variance of 19'0" for the Great Room portion of my project. As you can see,
if I add to direct east I will have to tear up my septic and drain field, I would
rather not do that. There are no issues with neighbor sight-lines for any portion
of this project.
I would also like to remove the water use storage structure and replace it with a
seasonal porch attached to the the west side of the original home close to the size
in the drawing.
