THE ['EETINC OF THE OITEH TAIL counts: BOARD OF ADOUST'^'ENT liirch 6, 1986 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, March 6, 1986, with the folloiving in attendance: Call to order George Walter Marcus Wiechmann John Everts Victor Petterson Roger Marty 1985 Chairman Walter opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no objections or corrections to the minutes of the December meeting, declared same approved as mailed. Minutes of December 1985 meeting Chairman selected George Walter Secretary’ Bergerud served as chairman for noninations for Chairman for 1986. I'totion was made by Marcus VTiechmann, seconded by John Everts to ncminate George Vialter as Chairman for 1986. Motion was made by Roger Marty, seconded by Victor Petterson and unanimously carried, to have the noninations cease, and George Walter was declared Chairman for 1986. Chairman Walter assumed the chair for noninations for Vice Chairman. Motion was made by John Everts, seconded b\' Roger I'^arty and unanimously carried to select Craig Anderson as Vice Chairman for 1986. Vice Chairman selected Craig Anderson The follcu'.dng requests for variance were considered: Allan Hovland, Pelican Papids, MN, requested permission to enclose ' and screen existing dec>: which, ds amroximately 65' to 69' frcra lakeshore on Lot 4 & 5, Touissant Heights, Scambler Tcn\Tiship. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Reger Marty and unanimously carried^., to ertploy the "string test", allowing con struction up to but'no closer than a line drawn betweeri-'’the d(Aellings on either side. Allan Hovland Granted John C. Moe, Minneapolis, JIN, requested permission to allow a cabin to remain as presently located approximately 143' feet from lake, on an unplatted piece of property containing 120 acres more or less in Section 10, Tumuli Township. Motion v;as made ty.' Marcus Wiechmann to deny, no adequate hardship shcn^n. The motion died for lack of a second. Motion was then made by Roger Marty to allow the new' cabin to remain as presently located on the condition the hunting shack located on the property be ccmpletely removed from the property with no further variances on this property. The motion was seconded by John Everts but failed with George Walter, Marcus Wiechmann and Victor Petterson voting "no". J''’otion was then made b^' Roger Marty, seconded by John Everts and carried unanimously to table for further information. John C. Moe Tabled Lawrence R. Jensen, Fergus Falls, requested iiermission to convey a parcel of land less than 2.5 acres in the SE-S; of Section 30, Aurdal Township, without platting. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Roger Marty and unanimously carried, to approve variance, no precedence being set as other parcels in the area are smaller in size, this being a "remnant parcel" bounded by township roads, etc., town board approval havina been obtained. Harley W. Bunt, Pelican Rapids, I'T!, requested permission to construct garage-^vorkshop 4' firom lot line, 10' from tavnship road, on Lot 22 Henry's Hill Addition, Dunn Toi\Tiship.
