The Board of Adjustment considered the following applications for variance: David J and Jean A Sticha - Tabled (6:32 p.m.) David J. and Jean A. Sticha, part of Government Lots 2 and 3, Section 26 of Tordenskjold Township by Stalker Lake, requested a variance of 50' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the placement of a structure 50' from the ordinary high water level and a variance for the placement of a septic system in the best location as determined by the Land and Resource Department. A representative (Jay Weer) from Whispering Pine Log Homes appeared with the applicants at the public hearing. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer to approve a variance of 40' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the placement of a structure 60' from the ordinary high water level and to deny the variance as requested for the location of a septic system. It was noted that a 40' variance would provide the applicants with a reasonable use of their property. After additional discussion, this motion was withdrawn. After additional consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and unanimously carried, to table the applicants' variance request until the September 2, 2004 meeting for a septic system installer’s plan. (6:47 p.m.) Joel Teberg, part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 29 of Aurdal Township, requested a variance to subdivide an existing 4.12-acre parcel into two tracts. One tract would be 1.87 acres and the other would be 2.25 acres. The minimum size required for non-shoreland metes and bounds parcels is 2.5 acres. John LeRoy appeared with the applicant at the public hearing. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested.
