After discussion and consideration, Ken Erickson made a motion, second by Carl Zick and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 83’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a dwelling
117’ from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the setback for the proposed development is an
improvement and that the proposed location is consistent with the general area. It was also noted that the applicant
has indicated on his drawing the relocation of an existing shed which is currently in front of the existing dwelling to a
location which will be behind the proposed dwelling. The development as proposed and approved will provide the
applicant with a reasonable use of the property.

The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, June 14, 2007, with the following persons in
attendance:

Called to Order- Randall Mann, Chair called the meeting of the Board of Adjustment to order at
6:30 p.m.
Minutes Approved-
The Board of Adjustment approved the minutes of the June 7, 2007 Board of Adjustment meeting as
mailed.
TheBoard of Adjustment considered the following applications for variance:
Kraig Stach- Approved;the variance as requested. (6:32 p.m.)
Kraig Stach, part of the Northwest Quarter, Section 2 of Aurdal Township by Fish Lake, requested a
variance of 83’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a dwelling
■117’ frorri the ordinary high water level. Appearing with the applicant at the public hearing were Tracy Lee,
Pam Stach and Audrey Stach. The audienbe was polled with Dean Erkenbrack and Todd Langston
speaking for the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Ken Erickson made a motion,
second by Carl.Zick and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 83’from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a dwelling 117’ from the ordinary high water level. It was
noted that the setback for the proposed development is an improvement and that the proposed location is
consistent with the general area. It was also noted that the applicant has indicated on his drawing the
relocation of an existing shed which is currently in front of the existing dwelling to a location which will be
behind the proposed dwelling. The development as proposed and approved wilfprovide the applicant with >

Edmund G. and LaVerne R. Kelley - ApprovedThe variance as requested. (6:40 p.m.)
Edmund G. and LaVerne R. Kelley, part of Government Lot 4, Section 4 of Nidaros Township, requested a
variance of 15’from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’forthe construction of a 10’ by
26’ 8” addition to the west side of the existing dwelling located 85’from the ordinary high water level. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and
consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Ken Erickson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 15’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of
a 10’ by 26’ 8” addition to the west side of the existirig.dwelling located 85’ from the ordinary high water
level. It was noted that the proposed development will be.no closer to the ordinary high water level than
the existing structure and will not obstruct the view from the. adjacent properties.
