Productive Alternative Program Overview
Steve Skauge and Bob Johnson from Productive Alternatives submitted a handout to brief the Board
on their Detox, Public Transit, and Supported Employment programs. Mr. Johnson reported
approximately 750 days of detox service to Otter Tail County residents in 2007 and good working
relationships with all entities involved with dependency issues. Transit Alternatives ended its first year
of service with over 103,000 rides . Service hours have been expanded to 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Mr. Skauge expressed concern regarding the Supported Employment program funding which is

funding through other programs. Lengthy discussion took place regarding this issue.
