Pursuant to adjournment, the Board met at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday,
March 12th, 1969, all members being present.
A resolution asking for the dissolution of School District #1539
was read and it was ordered that a hearing on said petition be given at
10:00 o'clock A.M •• April 9th, 1900. and that due notice of time and place
be given as required by law.
Motion was made by Otto Haase, seconded by Andy Leitch, and carried,
to approve the following applications to sell non-intoxicating malt liquors:

Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg, and carried,
to allow up to $750.00 for the purchase of a copier and duplicator to be used
by the Assessor's Office and the Nursing Service.
Motion was made by Bennie Johnson, seconded by John Snowberg, and
carried, to approve the followi~g applications for reduction in the assessed

The application of Wm. E. Kowalski, North Star Dairy, Village of
Pelican Rapids, for reduction of assessed valuation of personal property, was
approved in that the prpperty should have been exempt.
Applications received from interested parties wanting to rent the
living quarters at Phelps Mill were viewed, to be discussed further in April.

The following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, Otter Tail
County, Minnesota,
THAT WHEREAS this Board has received an application of Ralph
H. Hendershot to repurchase the following tract:
Beginning 8 rods North of Southeast corner SE¼ SE¼,
W 20 rods, N 40 rods, E 20 rods, S 40 rods to beginning.
Section 19 -134 -37.
which has been forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of
taxes. Permission to do so will be to the best public interest and relieve
undue hardship.

The Veterans Service Screening Committee appeared before the Board
presenting their three candidates one of which is to be selected as Veteran's
Service Officer. After interviewing the various individuals a secret ballot
was taken with Marvin Klicker of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota receiving the appoint=
ment.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Bennie Johnson, and
carried, for County Treasurer to invest money available, at his discretion
until April meeting.
Motion was made by Bennie Johnson, seconded by John Snowberg, and
carried, to approve the bills as presented, with Andy Leitch voting no on the
mileage and subsistence bills as presented by Merle Bacon, James LeRoy and
Glen Melby of the Sheriff's Department.
