MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE
OITER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF EQJALIZATION
July 6, 1987
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute, the Otter Tail County Board of Equali-
zation crnrnenced the equalization of taxes for assessment year 1987,
on Monday July 6, 1987. All members of the Board, Conmissioners
Olson, Nordgren, Nelson, Hovland and Ll.ndquist; and Auditor Bergeru.d
were duly sworn in before the Honorable Judge Harlan Nelson before
asstrrning duty as such Board of Equalization.
Chairman Hovland opened the meeting on July 6th, at 9: 30 a .m. • The
Board adjourned fran time to time and the following persons'reassess-
ment requests were heard:

~tion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unani-
mously carried, to reassess the Bob Westfall property on Jewett Lake,
Elizabeth Township, for prior two years to remove an erroneous valua-
tion that included sewer and water improverrents that do not exist.
Herb Borg and other members of the Lida Town Board appeared relative
to the fonrer Herzog property in Lida Tc:Mnship, after which notion was
made by Melo. Olson, seconded by Andy Lindquist and unanimously car-
ried, to leave valuation "as is" on the nav Jim Beaton property in
Lida Township for additional appraisal.
Motion was made by Mel o. Olson, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unani-
mously carried, to make the follaving adjustments, with all other
property valuations remaining as originally assessed:
John Carlson, Girard, reduce cottage to $26,000, land to $8,600
Ray Elhart, Dunn, incarplete construction, reduce to $24,500
Gaylord Saetre, Edna, Reduce to $21,200
Rita Lais, Dane Prairie.,. Reduce to $39,000
Wilson Saenger, Fergus Falls City, reduce to $27,600
Frank Troje, Dead Lake, boathouse transfered to personal property
and classification changed to seasonal
With no further business, Chainnan Hovland adjourned the meeting on
July 23rd, 1987.
