ChairmarhHovland opened the meeting at 9:34 a.m .. Todd Boynton and Gordon Dalbol of Honeywell, Inc., appeared before the Board relattve to proposals for. automation, etc., for the purpose of energy savings tn the law· enforcement center. No action taken. Fred Moen of Corporate Risk Managers, Inc., appeared before .the Board relative to renewal of the contract with said firm for property, casualty and group tnsurance functions for the county for one year effective April l, 1983. Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and Carried, to approve said contract amount of $5,700. Motion was made by Van Ellig, to extend an fn(iitatfon to Mary Ann Divine, or some other solid waste hauler to be a member of the Solid Waste Committee. The motion was seconded by-Hub Nordgren and carried. S. Fish and Wildli'fe Servi'ce, dated May 23, 1962, certifi'cation by the County Board of Commissioners for acquisition of lands by the U. S. Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and carri.ed, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS, some townships within Otter Tail County haveadopted and are enforcing zoning ordinance which may be, in some cases, more restrictive than requirements set forth in the Otter Tail County Shoreland Management Ordinance or the Subdivision Controls Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment is obligated to send notices and.conduct hearings regarding applications for variances and thereby incurs expenditures of time and money; and WHEREAS, applications for variance are subject to action by the appropriate Town Board; and WHEREAS, the app}icants ·themeselves h.ave certain expenditures re- sulting from the variance procedures, NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RES~LVED, that approval by the Town Board of Supervisors in the appropriate Township must be obtained on all applications for variance before such applications are submitted to the Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment. Stat. 106.471 are assessable against the property owners along said ditch, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the County Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to place assessments in the amount of $6,000 to the various landowners in Wilkin-Otter Tail County Joint Ditch #2, in a proportionate share based on the original benefited value. Glen Melby, County Sheriff, appeared before the Board stating Bauck Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Inc., Perham, MN, had erred in their bid presented Wednesday, April 6, 1983, and requested to withdraw said bid and return of surety.
