The Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received for. dump trucks, proceeded toq:,en bids which were found to be as follows: Super GMC, Fergus Falls, Minnesota Ray's GMC, Ferti1e~·:,.~ L, Minnesota Helle International, Inc., Fergus Fins · Stan Moe Ford Sales, Inc., Battl_e Lak~, MN Bob Moore F~rd, Fergus Falls .. ~- One Tandem $37,039.29 37,135.00 41,326.55 43,343.00 42,125.00 Two Single $63,541.36 60,128.00 (withdrawn) . 41,326.55 (error, withdrawn) 68,840.00 68,645.00 After consideration, motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by \Sydney Nelson and carried, to accept the bid of Super GMC, Fergus Falls, in the amount of $37,039.29 for one tandem axle dump truck, provided the company will absorb the cost of changing to a "butterfly hood" up to $150.00. Motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by John Snowberg and carried, to award the bid fof the two single axle dump trucks to Super GMC, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in the amount of $63,541.36, due to the fact the low bid of Ray's GMC, Fertile was wtihc;lrawn because of an error in bidding, also with the provision the company absorb the cost up to $150.00 per truck, for changing to "butterfly hood". Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Sydney Nelson and car- ried, to approve an agreement with the State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the construction and repair of M.5 miles of road in Maplewood State Park, and the Chairman of the Board and the County Auditor were authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of Otter Tail County. / / ~he Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received for grading, bituminous surfacing and concrete curb of 4.5 miles of park roads located in Maplewood State Park, proceeded to ope~ bids which were found to be as follows: Lakes Paving, Inc., Detroit Lakes, Minnesota Duininck Bros. & Gilchrist, Prinsburg, Minnesota Mark Sand & Gravel Co., Fergus Falls, Minnesota $264,469.27 280,889.80 294,265.68 After consideration, motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, to award the contract to Lakes Paving, Inc., Detroit Lakes, Minnesota in the amount of $264,469.27, it being the lowest bid. Motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, to approve an application of Robert V. 0bright for permit to allow consumption and display of intoxicating liquor .at Collins Landing in Star Lake Township, subject to approval by the County Sheriff. Motion was made by·Hub Nordgren, seconded by Sydney Nelson and carried, to approve the plat of Klix Bay, to be located in Section 27 -136 -42. Motion was made by Hub_Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, to approve a preliminary plat of Maple Acres, to be located in Section 34 -133 -39, together with a special use permit for the construction of a road to serve the proposed subdivision. Motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Hub Nordgren and carried, to approve a preliminary plat of Norwood Beach, to be located in Sec- tion 10 -136 -40, with Lots 1 & 2 as presented and Lots 3 & 4 combined, with approval by the County Engineer required for access. S. Fish and Wildlife Ser- vice, dated May 23, 1962, certification by the County Board of Commissioners· for acquisition of lands bythe U. S; Fish and Wildlife Service is requested, and WHEREAS, representatives of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service met with the County Board on June 10th and informed said Board that a purchase agreement had been secured from Mr.and Mrs. Dale R. Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has designated Region IV as an Economic Development District, and WHEREAS, this designation has allowed Region IV to develop an Overall Economic Development Program, and WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has approved funding to carry out an Economic Development Program in the area, and WHEREAS, this Program will enable the counties and mwiicipalities in the Region to receive the benefits and advantages of the Economic Development Administration programs, and WHEREAS, these advantages shall include a multi-jurisdictional body to enxure that economic development in the Region receives adequate em~ phasis, and WHEREAS, the entire area covered by the West Central Regional Deveopment Commission will be economically assisted by this Program, and WHEREAS, the West Central Regional Development Commission has prepared for submission to the Economic Development Administration an "Annual OEDP Report and Program Projection", and WHEREAS, this Report is necessary for continuing the District's financial assitance for an additional year, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Otter Tail County, in the State of Minnesota that The county concurs and supports the West Central Regional Development Com- missions's updated and revised "Annual OEDP Report and Program Projection", and recommends that this document be submitted to the Office of Economic Development Administration.
