OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to published notice, .the Board of County Commissioners
of Otter Tail County Minnesota met at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 1980, with
Bert Hovland absent.
The scheduled hearing on the special assessments in the proposed
sewage collection and treatment facility of the Crystal Lida Sewer System was
held. After listening to the various parties, it was determined by the County
Board upon recommendation of the Crystal Lida Sewer District Commissioners to
canvas the property owners in said district to provide direction in the estab-
lishment of said system.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and car-
ried, to issue a gambling permit to the V.F.W. Otter Post #874, Underwood.
Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and
carried, the application of Craig Anderson and Lawrence Anderson for license to
sell intoxicating liquor at the Bronco Cltib'; in Girard, Township, was approved.
Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and car-
ried, the following applications for permit ,to allow. consumption and display of
intoxicating liquor were approved:

George Reimer
Eddie Richardson
The Wharf
S:tar Lake Resort
The Red Hut
Everts Township
Star Lake Township
Sverdrup
Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and car-
ried, to approve an abatement on the·Otter Tall Nursing Home, Amor Township for
reduction of the 1980 tax because of the fact the property was tax exempt for the
major portion of the 1979 assessment.
Upon motion made by John Snowberg, seconded by Andy Leitch and
· carried, the following resolution was adopted:

RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter· Tail
County Minnesota; that
WHEREAS in accordance with a Procedural _Agreement between the
M~nnesota Department of Natural Resources and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Ser-
vice, dated May 23, 1962, certifi;atior{ by the c·ounty Board of Commissioners ' .
for acquisition of lands by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requested,
and
WHEREAS representatives of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service
met with the County Board on May 27, 1980 and informed said Board that a water-
fowl easement had been secured from Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth 0. Clambey on the
south 330 feet of the east 330 feet of the SE\NE¾ of Section 10 and the north
580 feet of the west 365 feet of the Sw1-1+ of Section 11, all in 133 -42,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the County Board does hereby
approve the aforementioned waterfowl easement by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service.

The Board, having previously advertised for bids for the sale
of $520,000 sewage system bonds forthe Crystal Lida Sewer System, proceeded to
open bids which were found to be as follows:

Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and
carried, to reject all bids.
Upon motion made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Andy Leitch and
carried, the following applications for homestead classification and/or reduction
of assessed valuation were approved:

-Upon motion made by Andy.Leitch, seconded by Sydney Nelson and
carried, the application of Esther Lee for license to sell non-intoxicating malt
I ~ liquor at Lee's Wee Town in Friberg Township, subject to approval by the Town
Board, was approved.
With no further business, the Chairman adjourned the. meeting
until 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 10th, 1980.
