Home My WebLink AboutBoard of Commissioners - Minutes - 05/20/1980MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota met at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20th, 1980, with Bert Hovland absent. Motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, to approve the overlay of Friberg Avenue, CSAH No. 1 in the City of Fergus Falls, with Otter Tail County paying $15,864.00, one-half of the cost in the amount of $31,728.00, to be included in Otter Tail County's road and bridge budget for 1981. Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and carried, the following applications for ~ewage_~isposal_system cleaners license were approved, subject to posting of bon~: Orville Hawes Gene Vol~mann Clifford H. I Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by.Hub Nordgren and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS the Commissioner Districts of Otter Tail County as presently constituted, do not comply with the present ward lines in the City of Fergus Falls, and WHEREAS, the County Board having given published notice of their intent to redistrict the County as provided by Chapter 375.02, Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the public was given an opportunity to present their opinions, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED_, the territory formerly in the Townships of Buse and Fergus Falls, now having been annexed to the City of Fergus Falls in the Third and Fourth Wards of the City of Fergus Falls be incorporated in Commissioner District #5, to conform with the annexation lines, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED there be no change in the area constitu- ting Commissioner Districts #1 and #4. Adopted at Fergus Falls, Minnesota this 20th day of May, 1980. ATTEST: · c;;4i!u_J~a) /~.J?-r.k-U tf} Clerk Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded.by Hub Nordgren and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS, on April 8, 1980, the County Board accepted the bid of Finn Equipment Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, in the amount of $5,925.00 for a mulch spreader, and WHEREAS, the above contract has now been completed to the satis- faction of the County Board, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the County Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to issue a. warrant in the amount of$5,925.00 to Finn Equipment Company, Cincinnati, Ohio in full payment" thereof.
