OF TI-IE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OTIER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Connnissioners· of Otter Tail CoWlty Minnesota met at 1: 00 P .• M., Tuesday, JW1e 21, 1977, all members present. Lee Nichols from the Time Insurance Company of Milwaukee appeared before the Board requesting the opportunity to bid on the coW1ty's hospitalization plan. Motion. was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Bert Hovland and unani- mously carried, to authorize the County Auditor to advertise for bids to be received wttil 1:30 R.M., Tuesday, July 19th, for hospitalization insurance and major medical to match or exceed present coverage. Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg and wtani- mously carried, the .County EJigine-er was authorized to advertise for bids to be received for grading and aggregate surfacing 3.006 miles on C.H. #119. from .a point three miles south of truck highway #210, located approximately five miles ;:;southeast of Underwood,, westerly to County State Aid Highway #47, under C.P. 77:119. The Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received for Lots 1 through 13 and 21 through 26, Block 3, Pleasant Addition to the City of Deer Creek, proceeded to open bids which· were found ·to·be as follows: David Becker, Wadena, Minnesota· Harold Parduhn, Deer Creek, Minnesota $355.00 380.00 After opening of sealed bids, all persons submitting sealed bids were given the opportunity to raise their bids orally. Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by John Snowberg and W1animously carried, the bid of Harold Parduhn, Deer Creek, Minnesota in the amoWlt of $675.00 was accepted, it being the highest bid. I The Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received for certain property belonging to the County of Otter Tail located in the SW¼ NW1~ of Section 16 -132 -37, proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: Vernon Hollatz, Minneapolis, Minnesota $75.00 Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Bert Hovland and carried, the bid of Vernon Hollatz, Minneapolis, Minnesota in the· amount of $75.00 was accepted, it being the only bid. NOW THEREFORE be it resolved, that the functions of the Otter Tail County Welfare Board, the Otter Tail County Nursing Advisory Committee and the Otter Tail County Nursing Home Board are hereby transferred to the Otter Tail County Human Service Board as of July 1, 1977, and be it further resolved that the members of the Human Service Board and length of terms shall be as follows: 3 years Andy Leitch Sydney Nelson JOhn Snowberg 2·years· Mrs. D. Hubert (Hub) Nordgren BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the annual meeting of the Otter Tail· County Human Service Board shall be held on the first Thursday after the first Mon- day in July to consider the annual budget, elect officers, and conduct such other business as may come before the board. ATTEST: I d:,,Lcu J; ~q..u,_ucC · (/ Clerk I Upon motion made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by John Snowberg and unanimously carried, the.following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS On August 8, 1945 the County of Otter Tail acquired, for public use only, the following described property: City of Deer Creek, Pleasant Add'n, Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Block 3 and WHEREAS it has now been determined the Oounty of Otter Tail has no longer use for said public land, NOW, :fHEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Otter Tail County reconvey to the State of Minnesota, ,the above described property. I Upon motion made by John Snowberg, seconded by Syd Nelson and unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHEREAS the City of Fergus Falls has made application by resolution for the conveyance of the following described tax-forfeited land: East 35 feet of North 220 feet of Sublot 11, Section 34 -Township 133 - Range 43 for the express purpose of a city street, NOW, TI:IEREFORE be it hereby resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County to approve said application and recommends the same be granted. Patrol Car for use by-the-Sheriff's Department, and WHEREAS the above automobile has now been delivered to the satis- faction of the County Board at a total cost of $5,005.23, an increase of $55.0Q due to additional equipment, NOW, TiiEREFORE, the Recording Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to issue a warrant in the amount. of $5,005.23 payable to Fergus Dodge, Inc. , Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in full payment thereof. W. Hanson. Upon motion made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail Comity Minnesota, that WHEREAS the untimely death of County Auditor K. W. Hanson has created a vacancy in the position of County Auditor, NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that Sylvia G. Bergerud be appointed as County Auditor to fill the unexpired term of K. W. Hanson, effectiveJiuonediately, and BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED the annual fee of compensation be set at $13,000,.plus bngevity. Dated at Fergus Falls, Minnesota this 21st day of June., 1977. Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Bert Hovland and unani- mously carried, to· approve an Auditor's Subdivision Plat to be located on Anna Lake, in Section 9 -133 ~ 41. Motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Bert Hovland and carried, Hub Nordgren abstaining, to approve an Auditor's Subdivision Plat of Oak Hill Sub~ivision, to be located in Government Lot 4, Sect~on 18 -133 -37.
