OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commisioners of Otter
Tail County Minnesota met at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 27th, 1976, all members
present.
Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani-
mously carried, to approve a conveyance by Leo M. Wagner of a small tract by metes
and bounds description, in G.L. 4, Section 14-134-43.
Motion was made by JohnSnowberg, seconded by Bert Hovland and unani-
mously carried, to continue with the Blue Cross-Blue Shield coverage for an additional
year at new rates presented as of July 17, 1976.
. ----.'r Motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani-
/ mously carried, to approve the following applications for homestead classification:
Hilja Atkinson
Eleanor Arvig
Newton Township
Corliss Township
The Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received
for two pick-up trucks, proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows:

After consideration, motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by
George Walter and unanimously carried, to accept the bid of Fergus Dodge, Irli:.,
Fergus Falls, Minnesota in the amount of $4,376.98 for the 1976 1/2 Ton pick-up,
and the bid of Super GMC Truck Sales, Fergus Falls, Minn., in the amount of $4,888.50
for the 1977 3/4 Ton pick-up, each being the lowest bid in their class.
Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, the board agreed to participate 40%" with the township to
participate 60%, on a·township road in Section 3 of Dane Prairie Township.

Upon motion made by Andy _Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, the following resolution was.adopted:
RESOLVED by.the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail Co\Dlty
' Minnesota, that
WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 260.251., subdivision-la, provides for child
care in group foster care facilities by the co\Dlty~ proceedures established by
the Commissioner of Corrections for reimbursement to the co\Dlties for such care,
and
WHEREAS, the Legislature. has.appropriated certain funds for the
reimbursement hereinabove provided;, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of Minn. Stat. 260.185.,
subdivision 1(5), establishment and operation of group foster homes, together
with procedures· for the reimb_ursement provided in · Section 260.251, · Subdiv:j:sionU•,

. NOW, THEREFORE the Chairman of the_ Board is hereby authorized
and directed to·execute agreement ·on behalf.a£° Otter Tail Co\Dlty with the State
of Minnesota, Department of Correction's, f~r ~he operation of the LaVerne and
Karen Walberg. Group Hobie, Route 1#1.,. Evansville, Minnesota.

Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, to bill Wilkin County in three instalments over a three year
period, for an overlay of CoW1ty·Road _#11.
Upon motion made by Bert Hovland, seconded by John Snowbe_rg and
carried, the board chairman was authorized .to sign a request to sublet agreement
on S.A.P. #56-601-08 and C.P. 76 TIVP Bl.
Motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Hub Nordgren and
W1animous ly carried, to· accept the petition · of certain taxp·ayers · owning land
within Otter Tail County praying the coW1ty board vote against any proposed
construction of a sewer pipe rW1ning east from Blanche Lake into Otter Tail Lake,
and the county auditor was authorized to file said petition.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by George Walter and
carried, authorizing four locations on the west parking lot for City Police and
al,le>w a spot for lc:,ading and unloading.
Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by John Snowberg and unani-
mously carried, granting permission to Vern Fuhrman for the conveyance of a metes and
bowids parcel of one acre in size, making the second and final split to be made in
the NW~ NE~ of Section 32-133-42. Any additional conveyance of lots to be by plat
of the area and the two metes and bowids lots to be included ·on the plat.
Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by JohnSnowberg and
wianimously carried, the meeting was adjourned until ~:30 A.M., Tuesday, August
lo, 1976.
