Home My WebLink AboutBoard of Commissioners - Minutes - 08/05/1975MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota met at 9:30 A.M~, Tuesday, August 5th, 1975, all members present. Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by George Walter and carried to grant permission to Donald Golderman to purchase additional land in Government Lot 2, Section 35 -132 -41, to· enlarge their 100' x 100' lot, Plate #255M, and allow access to the lake, with the understand that no building will be erected on the tract purchased. Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unani- mously carried, to approve the application of Myron D. · Russell for license to sell intoxicating liquor at Becker's Supper Club, Buse Township . . The Board, having previously advertised f>r bids to be received for grading and aggregate surfacing under S.A.P. 56-608-04, C.P. 75:08, proceeded to . open bids which were · found to be _ as .fo 1 lows: Mark Sand & Gravel Co., Fergus Falls, Minnesota Den Mar Construction, Fraze·e, Minnesota $322,647.01 339,571.45 After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Bert Hovland and carried, to ·accept the bid of Mark Sand & Gravel Co.·, Fergus Falls, Minnesota in the amount of $322.647.01, it being the lowest bid. The Board, having previously advertised for bids ~o be received for highway striping approximately 400 miles of county state aid highways, county highways and township roads, under C.P. 75:76H.S., proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: Traffic Marking Services, Inc., Buffalo, Minnesota Highway Striping, Worthington, Minnesota $142,000.00 180,800.00 After consideration, motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to accept the bid of Traffic Marking Services, Buffalo, Minnesota in the amount of $142,000.00, it being the lowest bid. Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Hub Nordgren and carried, the following applications for reduction of assessed valuation were approved: Augustana Lutheran Church David Heisler Keith Allen Jacobson Oscar Peterson Fergus Falls Pelican Rapids Fergus Falls Star Lake Township Remove special assessment Property overvalued Assessed over limitation Property overvalued Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Andy Leitch and carried, the meeting was adjourned until 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 6th, 1975.
