OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of
Otter Tail County met at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 24, 1974, Richard Dillon
absent.
A delegation of interested persons concerned with erosion problem
on Kerbs Lake appeared •;b~fore the Board and discussed the possibility of A.S.C.
funding. A decision was delayed unti 1 th.e October meeting.
The Board, having previously advertised for bids to be received
for calcium chloride and rock salt proceeded to open bids which were found to be
as follows:
Cutler-Magner Co., Duluth, Minnesota
Diamond Crystal Salt Co., St. Clair, Michigan

After consideration, motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by
Hub Nordgren and unanimously carried, to accept the bids of Van Wlters & Rogers,
Lyon Chemicals, Saint Paul, Minnesota in the amount .of $90.oo: per ton for calcium
chloride and Cutler-Magner Co., Duluth, Minnesota in the amount of $33.40 per ton,
each being the lowest bid.
Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani-
mously carried, to approve change order No. G-3; on the Highway Equipment Garage
and New YOrk Mills.

A delegation-of town board members from Aurdal and Dane Prairie
townships appeared before the board to explain a township bridge problem. AFter
discussion Andy Leitch offered the· following resolution and_ moved for its adop-
tion:
RESOLVED by-the Board of County Commissioners-of Otter Tail
County Minnesota; that
The County Board appropriate a sum not to exceed 50% of the
· cost 9f the repair of a township bridge-· located between sections 33 of Aurdal
Township and settion 4 of Dane Prairie Township,north of Highway #210, said
townships assuming the remaining 50% of the cost of repairs.
Motion was seconded by John Snowherg and unanimously carried.

The list of uncollected personal property taxes was presented to
the Board and after discussion the following report was issued, to-wit:
REPORT OF THE COUNTY BOARD OF THE COUNTY OF OTTER TAIL COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA
OF UNCOLLECTED PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1974
Fergus Falls, Minnesota September 24, 1974
BE IT KNOWN, That the County-Board of Otter Tail County, Minnesota,
did meet in session on the 25th day of September, 1974, the same being the date re-
quired by M.S. 277.05; that at said session the County Treasurer of said county de-
livered to said Board the list of uncollected personal property taxes for the year
1974, together with his certificate theron as required by law; and that at said
session the said Board did duly consider said list of uncollected taxes, and did
cancel such taxes as they are satisfied cannot be collected. That the following is
a correct list of said uncollected personal property taxes in said County for said
year of 1974, as so revised by said Board, and that the Clerk of District Court is
ordered to issue citations thereon, to-wit:

in said County for said year which said Boa~d are satisfied cannot be collected, and so
cancelled by said Board, to-wit:

Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, to approve the conveyance of a portion of Reserve Block A
to owners of Lots 1 through S, Block 1 of Leaf Lake Pleasure Grounds.
Upon motion made by John Snowberg, seconded by Hub Nordgren. and
unanimously carried, the following applications for homestead classification
and/or reduction of assessed valuation were approved:

Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, to accept the report of "Affirmative Action Policy" 1974 as
presented by Mike Vosburgh of the OFF-CON project.
Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconde~ by John Snowberg and
unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, October 8, 1974,
9:30 A.M.
