OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment, the BGQrd of County Commissioners of Otter
Tail County Minnesota met Wednesday, November 24th, 1971 at 9:30 A.M., all members
present.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
carried, to allow any Board member or other interested department head attend a
Seminar to be held at the Junior College relative to County Court and Law Enforce-
ment, registration fee to be paid by the County.
i•totion was made by Richard Dillon, seconded by Andy Leitch and
unanimously carried, to authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign the Sewage Dispo-
aal Installation License for Schepper Excavating and Deans Excavating Company.
Motion was made by Hubert Nordgren, seconded by Richard Dillon
and unanimously carried, to authorize the County Agricultural Inspectors, including
Frank Roberts, retiring inspector, to attend a short course meeting for agricultural
inspectors.

Upon motion made by Richard Dillon, seconded by Hubert Nordgren
and unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County
Minnesota, that
WHEREAS, Provision is made in the Minnesota Statutes 1969,
Section 18.231, Subdivision 1, the Board of County Commissioners when requested
by the commissioner of agriculture, shall appoint a county agricultural inspector,
who shall meet qualifications prescribed by the commissioner, and
WHEREAS, Jon Wefald, Commissioner of Agriculture, has requested
on September 20, 1971, such appointment by the County Board of Otter Tail County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Kenneth Clarnbey, whose address
is Route #3, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, be and is hereby appointed West Otter Tail
County Agricultural Inspector for a period from January 1, 1972 to December 31,
1972 at a salary of $275.00 per month.
Dated at Fergus Falls, Minnesota, this 24th day of November, 1971.

RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County
Minnesota, that

Upon motion made by Richard Dillon, seconded by George Walter and
Wlanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by the Board of CoW1ty Commissioners of Otter Tail CoW1ty
Minnesota, that
WHEREAS on the 13th day of October, 1970, The CoWlty Board authorized
the employment of the O.M.~. Engineering, Inc., to assist the CoW1ty Planning Agency
in preparing a comprehensive plan for the County, and to authorize the execution
of certain documents required by the Fanners Home Administration in connection
with said plan, and
WHEREAS SAID plan has now been completed to the satisfaction of
the Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, the County Board does hereby approve and authorize
the final payment of $9,691.00 to the O.M.K. Engineering, Inc., Fergus Falls,
Minnesota, out of the F.H.A. FWldS appropriated for that purpose.

Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Richard Dillon and
unanimously carried, the application of Dennis D. Anderson for license to seil
non-intoxicating malt liquor at Hill Top Club in Hobart Township, and application
for permit to hold public dances were approved.
A scheduled hearing was held relative to a weed controversy in
Saint Olaf Township on,~, the Clifford Clausen farm, with Attorney Norman Arveson
speaking on behalf of Mr. Clausen, no action taken.
Upon motion made by Hubert Nordgren, seconded by Richard Dillon
and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned t0 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, December
7th, 1971.
