MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING
OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter
Tail County met Tuesday. September 7th, 1971, at 9: 30 A.M., all members being present.
The County Assessor presented the following abatements which were
approved upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by.Hubert Nordgren and unani-

Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by George Walter and unani-
mously carried, that calls for bids be requested on any printing order exceeding
$500.00 per order.

The matter of the petition for the abandonment of County-Ditch #29
in Otto and Leaf Lake Townships was taken up for final action. After hearing
the report of the viewers appointed by the Board, the petition was denied, upon
motion made by George Walter, seconded by Hubert Nordgren and unanimously carried.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch,. seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
unanimously carried, to terminatet:-Herbert Herman as a New Career's Trainee after
completion of school ali>i11able under this agreement.

Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter
Tail County Minnesof.a, met at 8: 30 · A.M., Wednesday, September 8th, 1971, all members
Upon motion made by Richard Dillon, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani-;, ..
mously carried, the County Auditor was authorized to advertise for bids to be re-
ceived until 10:00 A.M. o'clock, October 12, 1971, for the purchase of the following
equipment:
2 One Way Snowplows to fit 27,500 lb. G.V.W. Trucks
2 Wings, 10 ft. in length.
Upon motion made by Richard Oil lon,. seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
unanimously carried, Fergus Cablevision was granteg permission to bury T. V. Cable
along County Highway #1, east of the City of Fergus Falls.
Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
unanimously carried, Glen Cording, Architect, was authorized to proceed with working
plans and specifications based on Preliminary Plan #9, dated August 18, 1971, with
the understanding the plans are to be functional and practical to building needs
without physical changes to the main Court House building.

unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail
County MiJ1nesota., • that
WHEREAS on May lL, 1971, t~e bid for County Wide GraveUng was
awarded to Mr. Joe Halstensgaard, Fertile, Minnesota, same having been completed
to the sattsfaction of the Board.
NOW THEREFORE, the County Auditor is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a warrant on the Road & Bridge Fund in the amount of $4, 5.24. 93
payable to Joe Halstensgaard, Fertile, Minnesota, as final payment for this work.

FEDERAL AID SECONDARY FORM NO. 11
Be it resolved that the Commissioner of Highways be and he hereby is
authorized and requested to take such steps and perform such acts on
behalf of the County of Otter Tail as may be necessary to have the
construction and improvement of the roads hereinafter described pro-
perly approved by the Federal Highway Administrator as a Federal-Aid
Secondary project eligible for the expenditure of federal funds there-
on and eligible for present construction and the letting of a contract
therefor.
CSAH #24 from 5.0 miles East of Erhard from CSAH #3 to
CSAH /141.
CSAH #39 from CSAH #12 to CSAH #35.
CSAH #67 from 1.2 miles North of T.H. /1210 to CSAH #50 -
South junction.

Northwest of Urbank, extending westerly 0.1
mile and 0.15 mile easterly.

Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Richard Dillon and
carried, Hubert Nordgren voting no, the Minnesota Engineering Company is to be
hired to prepare a preliminary solid waste plan, for a sum not to exceed $2,250.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Richard Dillon and
unanimously carried, to allow Stanley McAlpin a divison of tract in Government
Lot 10, Section 1-133-41, providing to lots of at least 100' on lake and over
20,000 square feet.
Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Richard Dillon and
unani~ously carried, the meeting was adjourned to 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, October
12, 1971.
