OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment., the Board of County Commissioners of Otter
Tail County Minnesota, met at 9:30 A.M. o'clock, Tuesday, May 25th, 1971, all mem-
bers being present.
Motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Richard Dillon and
unanimously carried, to approve renting hay land on the Strauch farm in Section 28 of
Dora Township for the 1971 season to Victor Rehborg.
Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Richard Dillon and
unanimously carried, the County Auditor was authorized to advertise for bids to
be received until 10:00 A.M. o'clock July 12th, for the sale of that portion of
Lot 3 of Kalling's Subdivision of the NE¼ of Section 35 -133 -43, said strip being
and Lot 10,
twenty (20) feet in width and lying directly East and adjacent to Lot 1/ Block 6
of Grussendorf's 2nd Addition to the City of Fergus Falls, Minnesota .

The Board, having previously advertised for bids for aggregate
base and road mix bituminous surfacing, under S.P. 56-606-03, S 6417 (4) and
S.P. 56-653-04, S 6965 (2), proceeded to open bids which were found to be as fol-
lows:
Mark Sand & Gravel Co. Fergus Falls, Minnesota $167,962.50
C. L. Nelson & Co., Inc. Brainerd, Minnesota 179,690.00
Landseidel & Son, Inc. Glyndon, Minnesota 180,167.20
Megarry Bros., Inc. Saint Cloud, Minnesota 183,502.90
W. Hodgman & Sons, Inc. Fairmont, Minnesota 185,904.00
Upon motion made by Hubert Nordgren, seconded by George Walter
and unanimously carried, the bid of Mark Sand & Gravel, Fergus Falls, Minnesota,
was accepted in the amount of $167,962.50, it being the lowest bid.
Motion was made by Richard Dillon, seconded by George Walter and
unanimously carried, to grant permission to Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to
bury cable along C.S.A.H. #21 and theju,ction of #116 and #21.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
unanimously carried, to have the Comity Highway Engineer survey the proposed
solid waste land fill site for the Village of Underwood and surrounding area,
for possible required engineering.
Motion was made by Richard Dillon, seconded by Andy Leitch and '\__
unanimously carried, to accept Henry Madsen survey lots as submitted, with the
provision any further development must comply with state requirements.
Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Andy Leitch and
unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted:

RESOLUTIONS FOR SIGNS
ON TRUNK HIGH\4AYS
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Board at their meeting on
May 25th, that the State Highway Department be requested
to erect directional signs at the fol lowing locations:
Junction of T.H. #108 and CSAH #41, East Junction, to be
known as the Star-Dead Lake Road.
JLlnction of T.H. #210 and CSAH #5, East Junction, to be
known as the Inspiration Peak Road .
. Junction of T.H. #210 and Township Road in Section 3,
Dane Prairie Township, to be known as the Elks Point Road.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we request the High-
way Department to erect these signs.
Adopted this 25th day of May, 1971.

Upon motion made by Andy Leitch, seconded by George Walter and unani-
mously carried, the following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County
Minnesota, that
ALL proposed plats, after August 1, 1971, be approved by the
Town Board, prior to submitting to the County Board, and
ALL road work be completed before acceptance by County Board,
Effective date of this ordinance to be August 1, 1971.

Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by George Wa,lter and unani-
mously carried, to approve the recommendations of the County Officials relative to

the Personnel Policies, Court House hours from 8:00 A.M., to 5:00 P.M., with per-
sons allowed to leave at 4:30 if they desire, with 1/2 hour for lunch at noon, if
offices maintain enough persons to effect~vely man their offices, plus other amend-
ments tobe heard at the June 9th meeting, 9:30 A.M.
Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Hubert Nordgren and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned to 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, J.une 9th, 197L
