BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OTIER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of
Otter Tail County Minnesota met Tuesday, December 8th, 1970, at 10:00 A.M.,
all members present.
Motion was made by James Bucholz, seconded by John Snowberg and unan-
imously carried to instruct the County Surveyor·to·prepare Half Section survey plats
of the Rush Lake area.
Motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani-
mously carried to have the Register of Deeds keep a supply of Half Section survey
plats on file to be available at $2.00 per copy.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg and unani-
mously carried to increase the rates for snow plowing and grading by the County for
the various townships, from $9.00 to $11.00 for snow plowing and from $7.50 to $8.50
for grading; and raise the rate for private driveways from $5 .00 to $6·JOO for thirty
minutes, effective January 1st, 1971.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by James Bucholz and unani-
mously carried, to authorize the County Auditor to advertise for bids for printing,
publishing, delinquent tax notices, board minutes, legal notices and the annual
financial statement, bids to be received until 2: 00 P .M. o'clock, January 5th, 1971." , '

RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to statutory authority the
County Engineer for and on behalf of the County of Otter Tail is
hereby authorized to request and obtain from the Minnesota Depart-
ment of Highways needed engineering and technical services during
the year 1971, for which payment will be made by the County upon·
receipt of verified claims from the Commissioner of Highways.

Upon motion made by James Bucholz, seconded by Andy Leitch and
unanimously carried to approve the application of LeRoy and Maxine Schmidt for
the reduction in the assessed valuation of real estate in the NE corner of NE¼
Section 29, Carlisle Township, additional building placed on by assessor, resuting
in double assessment.
The application of David J. Kep_p~~s fo~ the removal of penalty
and interest on a delinquent tax on property in Sections 20 and 21 of Compton
Township was rejected upon motion made by James Bucholz, seconded by Andy Leitch
and unanimously carried.

subject to road opinion, etc ••
Motion was made by James Bucholz, seconded by John Snowberg and

Lake Township, subject to road opinion, etc.
Motion was made by James Bucholz, seconded by John Snowberg and unani-
mously carried, to approve the plat -ef Y _& M Properties on Lak~ Ida in Candor Town-
ship, subject to road opinion, etc. (deposit of $800.00 being held in escrow). ,.

mously carried, to approve the _.plat of McDonald Lake Estates on Little McDonald &
Paul Lakes in Edna Township, subject to road opinion and $800.00 deposit on road.,

BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Board at their meeting on
December 9th, that the State Highway Department be requested
to erect directional signs at the following locations:
Junction of T.H. 1/34 and CSAH #9, to be known as the·
Fair Hills-Cormorant Road.
Junction of T.H. /159 and CSAH /131, to be knoi-m as the
Fair Hills-Cormorant Road.
Junction of T.H. 1159 and CSAH 1120, to be known as the
Fair Hills-Cormorant Road.
Junction of T.H. /159 and township road, to be known as
the Broadwater Beach-Pelican Lake Road.
