MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA Pursuant to adjournment, the Boardaf County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota met at 10:00 o'clock A.M., Tuesday, March 10th, 1970, all members being present. The Board having previously advertised for bids for three tractors with 1/2 Cu. yd. loaders for use by the County Highway Department proceeded to open bids which were fowid to be as follows: Bidder International Harvester, F.F. Pat McGrath, Fargo Stan's Garage, Battl.e Lake Ebersviller Impl. 1st Tractor $3,600.00 4,130.00 4,197.00 2nd Tractor $3,500.00 3,950.00 4,150.00 3rd Tractor $4,150.00 4,380.00 4,549.00 After consideration, motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Otto Haase and unanimously carried to·accept the bid of-International Harvest, Fergus Falls, in the a.mowits of $3,600.00, $3,500.00 and $4,150.00, being the lowest bid. The Board having previously advertised for bids for three Suburban or Carryall type trucks for use by the Cowity Highway Department, proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: 1st. Qnd 3rd Bidder Suburban Suburban Suburban International Harvester, F.F. $2,475.00 $2,275.00 $2,275.00 Minn. Motor Co., F.F. 2,465.00 2,795.00 2,795.00 Super G.M.C. 2,621.25 2,67,1.25 2,771.25 After consideration motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Jim Bucholz and unanimously carried to accept the bid on 1st Suburban of Minnesota Motor in the amowit of $2,465.00; motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Otto Haase and unanimously carried, to accept the bid of International Harvester on the second and third suburban in the amowit of $2,275.00,each. , The Board having previously advertised for bids for one 27,500# GVW Truck for use by the County H1ghway Department proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: Fergus Dodge, Fergµs Falls International Harvester, Fergus Falls Minnesota Motor Company, Fergus Falls Super GMC, Fe_rgus Falls $7,195.68 7,000.00 7,325.00 6,999.00 After consideration motion was made by James Bucml.z, seconded by John Snowberg and unanimously carried to accept the bid of Super GMC, Fergus Falls in the amount of $6,999.00, it being the lowest bid. The Board having previously advertised-for bids for Sand Seal pro- ceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: Hi-way Surfacing Minneota $72,355.90 Lundin Construction Mankago 86,188.89 McLaughlin & Schulz Marshall 78,634.47 C. The Board having previously advertised for bids for Aggregate Base and Bituminous Surfacing, C.P. 70:1228 & 1238, proceeded to open bids which were found to be as follows: W. Motion was made, seconded and carried, to have Blue Cross-Blue Shield coverage effective thirty days after commencing of employment for all employees to be covered under hospitalization in the Court House, County Highway Department, etc. Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried, approving a re- quest by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to install a cable under County Highways #26 and #110. 51 ..... , .. _. RFSOWTION WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 270.13 states in part ••• d A record of all the proceedings of the Commissioner of Taxation affecting any change in the asaeased valuation of any property, as reviewed by the State Board of Equalization, shall be kept by the Canmissioner of Taxation and a copy thereof, duly certified, shall ' . be mailed to the Auditor of each county wherein such property is situated, on or before November fifteenth of each yea.r11 ••• and, WHEREAS, The assessment date for real and personal. propert1 within each county within the State of Minnesota has been moved forward C?ll the calendar fran ~ 1 to January 2 in each year, which is approximately four months, and WHEREAS, The certification of the County Assessor to the Department of Tax- ation, the local Boards of Review, the County Boards of Review and the State Board of Equalization have specified dates that their review of assessments must commence. THIS RESOLUTION PRAYS, That the dates of the local Boards of Review, the County Board of Equalization, the date of certification by the County Assessor to the Department of Taxation and the State Board of Equalization be moved for- ward on the calendar two months. THIS RESOLUTION r'lJRTHER PRAYS, That the date of the certification to the County Auditor by the Commissioner of Taxation of the proceedings of the State Board of Equalization affecting any change in the assessed valuation of any pro- perty be moved at least two months forward and the date of certification be on or before September 15 of each year. Hanson and Roland Winterfeldt as additional delegates to the Association of Minnesota Counties.- Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried, to approve the bonds of Winterfeldt, Tramnbauer, Van Sickle, Swenson, McCabe. Upon motion the meeting adjourned to 10:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, March 11th, 1970 54 WEDNESDAY'S SESSION Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, met at 10:00 o'clock A.M., Wednesday, March 11th, 1970, all members being present. Schmidt asking that the SE¼ of SW¼ of Section 16, Maine Township be set off from Common School District #1390 to Independent School District #550 was read and it was ordered that a hearing on said petition be held at 10:00 o'clock A.M., April 15th, 1970, and th~t due notice of the time and place be given as required by law. A resolution asking for the dissolution of Common School District #1386 was read and it was ordered that a hearing on said resolution be held at 10:00o'clock A.M., April 15th, 1970, and that due notice of the tim~ and place be given as required by law. Benjamin, holder of a contract for deed, has ma~e application to repurchase from the State of Minnesota the following described land: Lot 9, Block 21, North Division, City of Fergus Falls which land forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes for the year 1961, has paid the sum of $331.77 being the aggregate of all delinquent taxes and assessments, with penalties, costs and interest.
