One • change is that under 7080, the county is required to ensure compliance with sanitation standards within cities. If cities do not adopt Chapter 7080, then the county is responsible. The draft proposal has been sent to the MPCA for their review and determination of whether the proposal follows state law. Otter Tail County Sanitation Codes must be adopted by January 1, 1999. Discussion continued regarding staffing that might be required to comply with countywide sanitation codes. Motion by Stone, second by Partmann, and carried, with· Nelson opposed, to authorize two temporary positions (one clerical position and one technician position) in the Land & Resource office contingent upon job descriptions and approval of corresponding salary grade by DMG.
