HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard of Commissioners - Minutes - 12/27/19940 Minutes of the OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Otter Tail County Courthouse Tuesday, December 27, 1994 1:00 p.m. CALL TO ORDER The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners convened Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at 1:00 p.m. at the Otter Tail County Courthouse with Commissioners Harley Windels, Chairman; Bill Stone, Malcolm Lee, Virginia Partmann and Andy Lindquist present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Partmann, seconded Lee and unanimously carried, to approve the minutes of December 20, 1994, as submitted. DITCH 21 -ESTABLISHING VALUES Ditch Inspector, Tiny Holm, requested guidance from the Board in the process of establishing land values for the Ditch 21 Drainage System. Motion by Lee, seconded Lindquist and unanimously carried to approve one day of consulting services from Ron Ringquist of Sioux Engineering to assist in the process of establishing land values for Ditch 21. Motion by Partmann, seconded Lindquist and unanimously carried to approve a $50 per day per diem for the Ditch Viewers. LIQUOR LICENSE Motion by Stone, seconded Partmann and unanimously carried to approve the following application for license subject to the approval of the County Attorney's office: Oakwood Supper Club Kalk-Young, Inc. Highway 16 West Henning, MN 56551 On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License and a Sunday Liquor License. Licenses are being transferred from Marvin E. Anderson to Patrick E. Kalk and Steven A. Young. MONITORING WELL PERMIT APPLICATION Motion by Lindquist, seconded Lee and unanimously carried to authorize the Chairman to sign the Monitoring Well Permit Application for a monitoring well that will be placed on tax forfeited property located at the intersection of Highway 82 and Interstate 94. PREPAYMENTS Motion by Stone, seconded by Partmann and unanimously carried to approve the following invoices which were prepaid to take advantage of offered discounts: :( -<-. ~-\"Vendor Total Discount Paid Co-op Services Penrose Oil Co. $825.94 $197.75 $36.63 $10.10 $790.21 $187.65 ··otter Tail County Board of Commissioners December 27, 1994 Page 2 Oupon a motion by Lee, resolution was adopted: WASTE EDUCATION GRANT RESOLUTION seconded by Lindquist and unanimously carried, the following WHEREAS, Otter Tail County has applied for a Waste Education Grant from the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance (OEA); and WHEREAS, Otter Tail County is committed to the completion of the project; and WHEREAS, Otter Tail County will dedicate necessary staff time and funds to carry out the proposed project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Otter Tail County fully supports the submission of a grant application to the OEA for a Waste Education Grant. Adopted this 27th day of December, 1994. The Highway Engineer was given a positive performance evaluation. CHANGE ORDER NO. G-3, NEW YORK MILLS BUILDING Motion by Lee, seconded Partmann and unanimously carried to approve Change Order G-3, in the amount of $1,239, to Rapp Construction of Alexandria, MN, for providing additional gypsum board at the New York Mills building.
