HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard of Commissioners - Minutes - 10/27/19920 0 Minutes of the OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Commissioners' Room, Floor 1-B otter Tail County courthouse Tuesday, October 27, 1992 1:00 p.m. Call To Order The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners convened Tuesday, October 27, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. at the Otter Tail County Courthouse with Commissioners Andy Lindquist, Chairman; Harley Windels, Bill Stone, Malcolm Lee and Virginia Partmann present. Minutes Approved Motion by Stone, seconded Lee and unanimously carried to approve the October 21, 1992, minutes as submitted. U.S. Fish & Wildlife Motion by Lindquist, seconded Partmann and unanimously carried to certify for acquisition by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service land owned by John D. Seither described as T. 131 N., R. 43 w., 5th P.M., Section 31, Parcel Number 1 of the recorded plat, Otter Tail County W.A. Number 49, contingent upon receipt of trust fund monies pledged to shortfalls in shared revenue payments. Forgiveness of Penalty Motion by Stone, seconded Windels and unanimously carried to deny the request of Jim Worner/Worner Auto Sales for forgiveness of penalty citing the current policy previously adopted by the Board with regard to postmarks. County Facilities Group Larry Krohn, Coordinator, discussed with the Board MS. 373.42, which cites the establishment of a County Facilities Group and it's formation by July l, 1992. The membership of this group, he explained, is to consist of one representative from the County Board, one representative from each city located within the County, one representative from each school district located within the County, up to three representatives of townships selected by the County Board and two other members selected by the County Board. Krohn estimated the number of individuals of this group, according to the law, would be approximately thirty-six. The duties of the facilities group is to develop an inventory of all public buildings located within the County, the condition of each building and documentation of any under used space within these buildings. Motion by Lee, seconded Windels and unanimously carried to direct the Coordinator to prepare a mailing to each entity. The mailing would ask for representation on the County Facilities Group and would seek the inventories of all public buildings as prescribed by law. "' ~ .. Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners October 27, 1992 Page 2 () Ditch #25 0 0 Motion by Fortmann, seconded Lee and unanimously carried to set a public hearing date for November 10, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. on Ditch #25. The purpose of the hearing is a notice to remove obstruction caused by insufficient hydraulic capacity in culverts beneath a private road on property owned by L. R. Milburn in Section 36 of Dora Township. Adjournment Closed to Public At 2:10 p.m., Chairman Lindquist declared the meeting adjourned and closed to the public for purposes of discussing pending grievance/labor negotiation strategies with the County's law enforcement collective bargaining unit.
