He stated that the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) checked the OHWL of Horsehead Lake and determined that the lake is 1½ ft. over the OHWL. Therefore, a culvert could be put in to lower Horsehead Lake 1½ ft. A culvert under C.R. 138 would need to be cleaned out and a culvert installed in a driveway on the property of Marcus Jankowski with Parkers Prairie Township (road authority) paying for the cost of installing the culverts. DNR Hydrologist, Terry Lejcher, suggested using sandbags to regulate the flow of water. County Attorney, David Hauser, stated that a petition to enter the ditch system, a public hearing, and a determination of benefits for the properties entering the ditch system would be necessary. Mr. Wasvick will meet with the Town Board to discuss the situation and potential liabilities. Ditch System No. 37: On behalf of Vernon Johansen, Mr. Wasvick requested authorization to unplug and re-tile, if necessary, an area on his property in Ditch System No. 37 at his own cost.
